Ending Sexualized Violence in Post-Secondary Institutions

As we celebrate love and connection on Valentine's Day, it's important to remember that not all relationships are built on respect and consent. Sexualized violence remains a pressing issue within post-secondary institutions, affecting students' safety and well-being.

I'm proud to be working with Naqsmist to support the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills through the final iteration of the Sexualized Violence Action Plan aimed at preventing and responding to sexualized violence in BC's post-secondary communities. This plan is a crucial step towards identifying and bridging gaps, building on promising practices, and fostering coordination and collaboration across institutions.

By working together to create a safer and more supportive environment, we can ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive without fear of harm or violence. Let's continue to advocate for a culture of consent, respect, and accountability in our educational institutions.
